British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the loss of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge follows the boxing community shared condolences for the champion in the following the heartbreaking incident.
