Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.

The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

He has published in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
