Homages Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt prepared to express about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the film, adding that he could not remember "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the probe.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the deaths, public individuals expressed varying responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were broadly criticized by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the critics last week. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and implied they revealed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an aide ought to have acted when the decision to speak on the death was made.
